Celebrate nature, nostalgia, and meaningful blooms—one month at a time.
A Story Rooted in the Garden
Hola! I’m so happy you’re here—welcome to this little corner of my studio. Feel free to stick around and take a peek at what’s blooming.
So, why birth flowers?
It all goes back to warm evenings in the countryside of Mexico, where my mom had a rather extensive flower garden. There was no green lawn to show off or compare with the neighbor’s yard. Instead, the land had to serve a purpose—and my mom made sure every inch of it did.
We lived on an acre of land, and the house was literally surrounded by flowers. Paths crisscrossed the garden, offering spots of shade under strategically placed trees. The chicken coop sat at the edge of the property. Even now, every time my mom visits one of her kids or goes anywhere new, she always comes home with seeds—excited to plant them and watch them grow.
I have vivid memories of watering the garden in the evenings—time seemed to slow down. It was just me, the petals, the hummingbirds, the vibrant colors, and the bees collecting pollen. All those memories planted a seed in my heart early on, and the truth is—I just love flowers.
The Inspiration Behind the Collection
When I first discovered the concept of birth flowers, I was all in. I thought it was so special that we could feel connected to a flower that represents our birth month.
Those memories of my mom’s garden came rushing back, and before I knew it, I was deep in research and sketching out the first drafts.
I decided to limit each month to just one flower—except for December, which felt like it deserved a little extra celebration. So it includes two: holly and narcissus.
As for me? I’m a summer girl through and through. If I were a flower, I’d be a larkspur—also known as delphinium. I’m the middle-of-summer type of chica who loves breakfast under the shade of a tree and walks among wildflowers like no one else.
What’s in the Collection?
This collection was created with care and quality in mind. Here’s what you’ll find in the Birth Flower Collection:
- High-quality archival art prints – perfect for decorating your space or gifting something meaningful.
- Greeting cards – ideal for birthdays and heartfelt notes all year long.
- Stamp-themed stickers – great for journals, water bottles, snail mail, or gift wrapping.
First Drafts
After researching and creating many drafts—both digital and analog—I decided on a more minimal look. This is different from my usual acrylic paintings that are full of layered texture and bold colors.
For this series, I focused on simplicity and the meaning of each flower. I chose a limited color palette and soft, airy lines to let the bloom’s personality shine through.
